Grundfos For Engineers Seminar at Sri Lanka

A seminar was organized for the National Water Supply & Drainage Board (NWSDB) at The Taj Samudra hotel in Colombo, Sri Lanka on 13 May 2016. The theme of the seminar was ‘Grundfos For Engineers.” This event was organized to share Grundfos’ experience in the water utility sector as an international brand leader and pump manufacturer.

80 top officials from NWSDB gathered to discuss issues and benefits related to the Sri Lankan water utility sector.

Topics covered were on various pumping solutions related to borehole well, water distribution, raw water intake and water treatment.  A clear message that was sent
out during the seminar was the availability of a Grundfos Team in Sri Lanka, to
serve customers better.

Grundfos opened its office in Sri Lanka in 2012, and is currently building relationship with many government and private sector projects.

“With the establishment of a Grundfos office in Colombo, it shows the level of commitment, confidence and importance of the Sri Lanka market in our business focus. We have been represented in the country for 20 years and it was time to open our own office and expand our operations here.” said Mr. Andy Tan, Grundfos Singapore’s Country Manager (Grundfos Singapore is the regional head office in Asia Pacific and directly oversees the business in Sri Lanka.

The event ended with a media session where questions were asked about Grundfos Office set up in Sri Lanka and business focus plan we had.
