Bahrain and Oman amongst first to achieve Grundfos AASP status

Bahrain and Oman are amongst the first Middle East countries to benefit from Grundfos’ Audited Authorised Service Partner (AASP) programme, following successful completion of the demanding AASP audit by Salmabad-based Areej Trading Est and Oman Pumps.

Areej and Oman Pumps, both leading stockists of Grundfos products in their respective countries, were amongst an initial group of 18 Middle East companies to join the groundbreaking AASP initiative, designed to ensure that customers get the same high standards of service from all members of the Grundfos Service Partner Network, wherever they are in the world, when it was launched in March 2017.

Since that time, Areej and Oman Pumps have been working closely with the Grundfos Gulf management team to achieve the demanding criteria required for certification. After major investment and reorganisation, the companies have achieved significant improvement in every area, from showroom and workshop facilities, to spares management, internal processes, training, internal resources and branding – completely transforming their service processes and customer handling.

Both companies have taken part in the region’s first ever external audits, over a period of several weeks, and were able to meet all of the exacting criteria laid down by Grundfos, scoring highly in all of the key areas.

As a result, Areej and Oman Pumps are now fully certified to global Grundfos AASP standards and have processes in place to continually assess the competencies of ervice technicians, ensure continuous improvement in facilities and internal systems and ensure ongoing compliance with changing standards and legal requirements in respect of the environment, health and safety etc.

Speaking after the audits, Kostas Poulopoulos, Grundfos Gulf Distribution General Manager, congratulated Oman Pumps and Areej Trading on being amongst the first stockists in the Middle East to achieve the new AASP standard.  “This is a significant milestone in our progress towards service excellence throughout the Middle East region. Grundfos Gulf will be continuing to work closely with other Middle East stockists to further develop our Service Partner network throughout 2018 and beyond”, he said.
