Grundfos takes on Oman domestic pump market

The first two events, in Nizwa on 17 March and Salalah on 19th March set the scene, attracting audiences of well over one hundred dealers, keen to learn about Grundfos’s products and how they can serve Oman’s domestic building sector.

After an initial session to explain how the use of advanced materials and engineering; the level of electrical and mechanical protection offered and ease of installation of their new generation pumps is differentiating Grundfos products across the Middle East, attendees were introduced to a selection of the more popular domestic pump models.

Starting with basic solutions, such as the company’s PF domestic pressure pumps and cost-efficient JPC self-priming jet pumps, the team moved on to submersible well pumps and the range of PM pressure managers.

Undoubted star of the day, however, proved to be the company’s flagship Scala2, which is fast becoming the most popular pump for domestic users, due to its ability to deliver constant water pressure at all times in up to 8 taps running at the same time.

Following the presentations, Grundfos’ Aaron Fernades said, “Our new partnership with Gulf Services is a key part of our strategy to serve Oman’s DBS market and extend availability of our sustainable water supply solutions as part of our support for UN Sustainable Development Goals SDG6 and SDG13.

“As well as meeting new dealers, we are keen to establish early sales and are pleased to see GSIS receiving confirmed stock sales at both events. The event in Salalah has helped us reposition our brand to make our solutions more attractive to the local market.”

Following the success of the first two events, further events are planned for local dealers in Sohar and Barka in April.
