Extranet update improves order process

Grundfos has updated its industry-leading extranet to make it easy for distributors and direct customers to quickly check the status of their orders and see at a glance when any changes are made to delivery time, quantity or other details.

Whenever an order is amended, a red exclamation mark now appears alongside the item listing, giving immediate warning that something has changed. Clicking on the symbol opens the item, where the changed detail is highlighted in yellow. Changes that affect the end user can thus be picked up immediately and passed on, leading to improved levels of customer service and trust.

The latest change makes the Grundfos extranet an even more valuable tool for customers, adding real-time order progressing to a raft of other valuable features that make selecting, ordering and using the company’s world-leading pump systems and accessories, quick and simple.

In addition to 24/7 access to performance and application details for thousands of Grundfos products via the Grundfos Product Centre, the extranet, an industry first when it was launched in 2003, allows registered users to find, price and order products online from either an office computer or a mobile device, such as a smartphone or tablet, when on the move.

It will also take customers through a simple pump selection process and offers help with pumping station design, whilst providing an invaluable source of sales and training information, online help and guidance, to make life easier for distributers and engineers when training new recruits or bringing existing staff up to speed on the latest pump models and technology.

The latest update is part of a continuous process of improvement that has made the extranet site a must-have tool for distributors and major customers for well over a decade, and a key element in Grundfos’ ongoing campaign to provide excellent service and support to customers and users across the Middle East region.
