Grundfos Egypt focuses on service training
29-May-2018
Grundfos Egypt’s focus on the domestic pump market moved up a pace in May with a 5-day training workshop for installers, designed to increase knowledge and expertise in modern system design and installation techniques and servicing of the more popular domestic pump models.
Training specialists at Grundfos Egypt’s Cairo Competence Center designed the training programme, which took place from Sunday 6th to Thursday 10th May, to give the 15 attendees an understanding of the key drivers in system design and selection as well as training on power supply and motor measurements needed to validate warranties.
Pump servicing formed a key focus of the training, with attendees receiving hands-on training on all of the most popular Grundfos domestic pump models, including the latest ‘intelligent’ Grundfos Scala pumps, self-priming jet pumps, compact and versatile CMV multistage models, Sololift macerators and Multilift pumps used for domestic drainage and waste water handling.
At the end of the week, trainees said they were happy with the content and level of training given, which would help them provide a more professional service to their pump customers. Each received a free clamp meter to help when checking system current, as a memento of their visit.
The latest training event is part of a wider campaign by Grundfos Egypt to reduce energy wastage and improve fresh water and wastewater handling for domestic and commercial customers using the latest generation of high efficiency pumping systems.
It follows a Service Week, earlier in the year, designed to bring industrial and commercial customers up to date with the service benefits now available through Grundfos and its expanding network of Approved Service Partners throughout Egypt, and a recent Plumbers Day in Cairo that attracted well over a 100 local engineers and installers, keen to learn about the latest developments in domestic pumping systems.
