Partnership brings award for Grundfos

To coincide with the first anniversary of its special partnership with Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (SEWA), Grundfos has been honoured with an award that recognizes the company’s hard work and commitment towards achieving SEWA’s Vision 2020 of reducing energy and water consumption through excellence, efficiency and innovation.

Presenting the Award to Grundfos Gulf Distribution General Manager, Kostas Poulopolous, SEWA acknowledged the very high level of support and commitment from staff throughout Grundfos, who had ensured that SEWA’s every requirement had been addressed.

SEWA’s Vision 2020 is an ambitious strategy that aims to reduce energy demand whilst expanding and developing sustainable power and water supplies to satisfy a rapidly growing population, through new technologies, upskilling, and information and knowledge exchange with Grundfos and a small number of other world-leading companies in the field.

Speaking after the event, Kostas Poulopolous said “Our partnership with SEWA has enabled us to demonstrate how, by developing close and committed relationships with utilities and other major customers in the water supply industry, Grundfos is able to increase energy efficiency, reduce carbon dioxide emissions and help provide water safely and efficiently, in the most challenging of environments.
