How to integrate Distributed Pumping
Find out how Distributed Pumping products are integrated into your BMS, and how the data from Grundfos pumps keeps you running smoothly.
Getting started
The Grundfos pumps in a Distributed Pumping system can all be connected to your Building Management Systems (BMS). All products support the most common field bus protocols and come with a fully documented integration specification.
The connectivity options also make it possible to have your Distributed Pumping system controlled entirely from the BMS side, though we recommend a more distributed control where each pump is independently controlled yet is fully integrated to the BMS.
Benefits of adding Distributed Pumping to your BMS
Data is important for proper control, but also vital for validating building performance. When deploying the many intelligent pumps connected to your building, Grundfos opens a door that enables high level analytics with minimal effort.
Each pump can deliver key datapoints such as estimated flow, power, liquid temperature etc. These datapoints can help detect coil fouling in thermal loads, pipe clogging, valves that are not fully open and many more valuable insights when connected.
