Girvan Community Hospital

A new £21.5m hospital project is now nearing completion and when it opens its doors later this year it will provide a range of services for residents of Girvan and the surrounding South Ayrshire area.

This latest health project that has been designed to deliver health services right to the heart of the local community and facilities will include: in-patient services, a rehabilitation unit, a casualty department as well as other outpatient services. All of this will be combined with two existing general practices – all under one roof.

Working with consultant RSP Consulting from Glasgow and contractors James Frew Ltd, Grundfos Pumps have delivered a wide range of pump solutions that have been designed to ensure the best pump related back-up solution is available to the community.

To meet the high efficiency standards the project demanded, the M+E solution includes a wide range of energy efficient Grundfos pumps. Performing their role in this solution are members of the Grundfos TPE(D) family of single stage centrifugal pumps; UPE circulator family, IMpress pressurisation sets and incorporating a range of energy efficient CRiE pumps- two booster sets – one to ensure that demand for water is met and the second to provide a rain water solution to augment mains supplies.
