Manchester gets new data centre
With IT back-up such a crucial aspect in terms of ensuring business continuity and security, it is probably not surprising that facilities that offer expertise in this area are continuing to grow.
One such company are Telecity Group who are just about to open another new data centre in the Manchester area. This one is located opposite Media City and will add 3.5 MW of customer capacity.
With ambient temperature such an important aspect of these data centres, making sure the M&E solution meets these exacting demands is even more important. EllisonAC were specifically selected as a partner by Telecity for their expertise in delivering bespoke containerised packaged plant rooms.
Providing the specialist pump solutions for this packaged solution and working in partnership with EllisonAC were Grundfos Pumps Ltd. The final solution provided a range of Grundfos NB single-stage standard pumps, and TP close coupled circulator pumps. TPE family variants were also part of the selection as these models are electronically controlled which makes them super-efficient and they also link into the buildings BMS system.
Companies like Telecity are leading the way within their industry and it is therefore no surprise they are choosing to partner with other experts in their respective fields such as EllisonAC in packaged plant and Grundfos in pump engineering, to deliver long term, sustainable solutions.
