Town House Hotel Glasgow
A new luxury spa hotel is set to open its doors in the heart of Glasgow. The Blythswood Square site is the perfect location for this new 5-star hotel. Completed back in 1823 the classically designed square consists of 4 identical rows of houses facing a central garden. In 1910 it became home to the Royal Scottish Automobile Club (RSAC) who ultimately became the owners of one complete side of the square and the site firmly established itself as one of Glasgow’s most fashionable venues. In 2006 the property was bought by the present owners The Town House Collection.
The refurbishment costs to turn this into an 88-bed boutique hotel and leisure venue are estimated at £17m and among the many partners who have contributed to the refurbishment are Grundfos Pumps who worked in conjunction with consultants T Dunwoody & Partners and contractors James Frew Ltd to deliver a state-of-the-art pump solution.
Of the pumps selected, many are from the energy efficient variable speed Grundfos e-pump solutions including members of the TPE circulator family range that are ideal in a wide range of hot or cold water applications. In addition the new facility can rely on a range of Grundfos IMpress pressurisation units and a 4 pump CRIE booster set that will ensure that there is sufficient water to instantly meet the widely fluctuating demands.
