Building a Smarter, More Resilient Water Future
Protecting water requires more than technology—it takes continuous innovation, strong partnerships, and a shared commitment to creating lasting change.
From advanced pumping technologies to intelligent digital solutions, Grundfos helps utilities optimize operations, reduce energy consumption, and strengthen water infrastructure for the communities they serve.
Together, we’re helping move water forward.
From Awareness to Action
As Mina Guli runs the length of the Colorado River, she is bringing visibility to the people, communities, and industries that depend on one of North America's most important water systems. Her journey highlights a critical truth: water scarcity is no longer just an environmental challenge, it is an economic and operational challenge affecting cities, businesses, agriculture, and infrastructure across the region. While Mina helps make these challenges visible, Grundfos is focused on helping solve them.
Through intelligent water technologies, high-efficiency pumping systems, leak detection and pressure management solutions, advanced controls, and data-driven water management, Grundfos helps utilities and industries reduce water loss, improve resilience, lower operating costs, and make more efficient use of every drop. Together, the Keep the River Running campaign demonstrates that the solutions needed to strengthen water security already exist. What is needed now is greater awareness, stronger collaboration, and broader adoption to turn urgency into action and help ensure the Colorado River continues to support communities and economies for generations to come.
Smarter water management starts with connected solutions
Grundfos digital solutions help turn data into action, giving you greater visibility, control and insight across your water systems. Related applications
Explore how we make every drop work. From closing the loop on water cycles and tackling emerging contaminants to supporting resillient community infrastructure, our integrated solutions are built for future challenges.
Water reuse
Make every drop work harder. We provide water and wastewater treatment solutions for point-of-use reuse and applications where access to municipal water or sewer infrastructure is limited. Designed to scale as your needs grow, our solutions bring together biological treatment, membrane filtration, reverse osmosis and advanced treatment technologies to support your water quality and reuse goals.
PFAS & emerging contaminants
Address complex contaminants with treatment designed around your water. Our team brings experience in PFAS and trace contaminant removal using proven technologies such as granular activated carbon (GAC), ion exchange and other advanced treatment approaches. From system design through media replacement and ongoing support, we help deliver reliable water treatment throughout the system lifecycle.
Municipal & decentralized wastewater
Reliable wastewater treatment starts with the right solution for the community. From municipal infrastructure to decentralized applications, our advanced biological wastewater treatment solutions (including MBR, MBBR and SBR technologies) provide flexible options for meeting treatment objectives, managing changing flows and supporting future growth. Modular and packaged systems can further simplify implementation where space, infrastructure or site conditions present challenges.
Industrial water & wastewater
Every industrial operation has different water demands. We help customers treat process water and wastewater across food & beverage, manufacturing, mining, power, chemicals and other industrial applications. Our diverse water treatment portfolio allows us to develop solutions around specific influent conditions, discharge requirements, reuse objectives and operational needs.
Lifecycle and service
Water treatment performance extends well beyond installation. Our lifecycle capabilities help customers maintain reliable operation through technical support, maintenance, media replacement, system optimization, rentals and other ongoing services. With water treatment, pumping and service expertise working together, customers have access to support throughout the life of their water system.

Municipal / Decentralized: Solving Big Challenges on a Tight Footprint
At Greenview Commons, a luxury senior living community in Suffolk County, NY, maintaining a peaceful, attractive, and functional environment isn’t just a preference—it’s a promise.
Industrial Reuse: Advancing Water Reuse in Food Processing
Newterra is supplying a wastewater reuse system for a large Canadian food processing plant scheduled for completion in mid-2025. The system will receive and treat 1.58 million gallons of food processing wastewater every day. This project will stand to be one of the largest food & beverage water reuse initiatives in North America.
PFAS: Veolia Stanton WTP – PFAS Treatment for Public Health
Veolia North America partnered with Newterra to design and implement one of the largest PFAS treatment systems in the United States, located at the Stanton Water Treatment Plant in Wilmington, Delaware.
Aeration: 12 Years of Reliable, Chemical-Free Phosphorus Removal with Newterra’s Argos SBR System
This water treatment facility required both capacity expansion and a more enhanced treatment process to manage increased flow and more stringent effluent requirements.
Non-Clogging Wastewater Pump Keeps Small Town Running Smoothly
The primary wastewater pump at a small-town lift station was failing and needed replacement. The Grundfos 56 frame SL pump was installed on the existing rails with minor connection customization, making the retrofit seamless. The new pump excels a year later with its lower energy consumption and non-clogging capabilities.
Grundfos Connect Asset Monitor System supports a local utility in Schulenburg, TX
Asset monitoring shouldn’t be complicated — and with the Grundfos Connect Asset Monitor System, it isn’t. In this video, we break down how Grundfos Connect Asset Monitor helps water and wastewater operators monitor critical assets remotely, gain real-time visibility, and move from reactive maintenance to smarter, data-driven decisions.
