It is estimated that up to 200 million people across Africa depend on hand pumps for their water supply. However these pumps do have drawbacks, which solar-pumping solutions can overcome. Only one person at a time can draw water from a hand pump, which often leads to queues and makes water collection a time-consuming and physical demanding task.

Pumping smarter with SQFlex

The submersible SQFlex 1-30 and 1-70 are the ideal models for replacing hand pumps at shallow depths. Depending on your head and flow needs, other SQFlex models may be appropriate.

The pump is easy to install and to operate, can be powered by AC and/or DC sources, and has a dry-run protection system that automatically switches it off if the water level drops too low.
