More rain! More frequent and intense cloudbursts! All this often leads to many basements being flooded. This can be costly and cause damage to the house. The MULTIBOX all-in-one emergency sump pump kit helps you be prepared and helps your customers fast!

Heavier rain showers increase the risk of flooded basements
Weather maps from the past 100 years show what many homeowners with basements can confirm – that rainfall amounts are increasing year by year. This can lead to floods, which can become an expensive acquaintance. Pipe bursts can also cause flooded basements. Regardless of the cause, unwanted water can result in damage to belongings and pose a risk of Mold formation if not addressed quickly. Once the basement is flooded, it is crucial to transport the water away as quickly as possible to minimize damage. One solution can be the Grundfos MULTIBOX, a complete emergency drainage pump solution that helps get rid of the water in the basement quickly and efficiently. The pump solution is ready to use in just a few minutes and easy to operate.

In the video, we show how to use the solution – whether it is to empty the basement of water, drainage pump for garden pond or pool.

Minimize damage after cloud burst
Flash floods1, because of cloud bursts, and urban flooding are increasingly common in Europe due to more intensive short-term rainfall, especially in the Mediterranean and Eastern Europe. Slower-moving intense rainstorms cause more floods, as seen recently in Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands, leading to significant casualties and damage2.

The risk of more and larger floods makes many homeowners prepare for a quick response. The damage typically occurs when the public sewer system cannot handle the large amounts of water that a cloudburst brings. The overload means that the water is pushed back into the sewers and up into the basements. In addition to damage to the house, the water destroys furniture, appliances, and stored belongings every year. These are damages that can be minimized through a quick response.

All-in-One Emergency Kit

The idea behind MULTIBOX is quite simple. It contains all the components you need if the basement is flooded. And the quicker you act; the less damage occurs.

The solution consists of:

  • UNILIFT CC7 drainage pump with attached Storz-C coupling

  • A multifunctional filter box

  • 15-meter discharge hose with protective cap

  • Additional UNILIFT CC adapter, which fits several hose sizes

  • Suction down to a water level of 3 mm

In the event of a flood, the pump's suction capability is crucial. With the UNILIFT CC pump, included in the MULTIBOX solution, you can pump out water down to a water level of 3 mm (by removing the strainer), whereas most other pumps can only pump down to a water level of 3 cm. In a 100 m² basement, this means 2,700 litres less water that you need to remove with a cloth and bucket.

The MULTIBOX can, of course, be used for purposes other than flooded basements - for example, if you want to empty the garden pond or swimming pool.

Flooded basements are no longer uncommon

Heavy rainfall increases the risk of flooding and the need for efficient basement flood pumps. The Grundfos MULTIBOX offers a complete drainage pump solution that quickly empties basements. It is ready to use in just a few minutes, easy to operate, and saves time.

Optional outlet
The UNILIFT CC has a dual outlet, making it suitable for both horizontal and vertical pipes.

Sucks down to 3 mm
If you remove the strainer on the UNILIFT CC drainage pump, it can pump down to a water level of 3 mm, which means 2,700 litres less water in a 100 m² basement compared to other pumps.

Box function
The box acts as a filter during pumping and reduces blockages. It also stores all the parts conveniently.

Self-venting valve
The UNILIFT CC7 pump has a self-venting valve in the handle, preventing air from entering the pump and ensuring optimal operation.
