Conditions of participation

The competition is organised by Bombas GRUNDFOS España S.A., A28804136, Camino de la Fuentecilla, s/n 28110 Algete (Madrid) (“Grundfos” or “Organiser”). Anyone who is at least 18 years old can enter.

You can only enter the competition if you register at https://www.grundfos.com/campaign/listen-to-your-data and attend in person at the IWA Digital Water Summit Bilbao 2023 in Bilbao, 14. – 16. November 2023. After entering your contact details in the form and accepting the terms and conditions and privacy policy for the prize draw, you will be entered into the prize draw.

No purchase is required to participate or win. 

Competition procedure

The “LEARN & Win” competition at IWA Digital Water Summit Bilbao 2023 will take place separately on all three days of the event mentioned above. After successfully registering at https://www.grundfos.com/campaign/listen-to-your-data and accepting the conditions of participation in person, the participant will have one chance of participating in the lottery to win one prize.

On the first day (14. November 2023), a number will be selected at random from the entries at around 4:00 p.m. If the winner is present at the stand of the organiser, he or she will be given the prize. If the winner is not present for the draw it will be declared invalid and a new ticket will be drawn.

On the second day (15. November 2023), the competition procedure will be exactly the same, and a winner will again be chosen from among those at around 4:00 p.m.

On the third day (16. November 2023), the competition procedure will be exactly the same, and a winner will again be chosen from among those present at around 4:00 p.m.

The winner will be drawn at the Organiser’s stand with the help of an app (Siri) that will choose a winner at random.

The winner will be announced publicly at the Organiser’s stand, immediately after the draw.

Prizes

The prizes are non-cash prizes (e.g. credit notes). Type of prize:

Non-cash prizes will not be paid in cash and cannot be exchanged. Prizes cannot be transferred to third parties.

Exclusion of liability

Claims for compensation by participants are expressly ruled out. This does not apply to claims for compensation by the participant in circumstances of death, bodily injury or damage to health, or if essential contractual obligations (cardinal obligations) have been breached, nor to liability for other loss or damage resulting from an intentional or grossly negligent breach of duty by Grundfos, its legal representatives or vicarious agents. Essential contractual obligations are those whose fulfilment is necessary in order to achieve the objective of the contract.

In the event of a breach of essential contractual obligations, the Organiser will only be liable for the foreseeable loss or damage that is typical of such a contract if this was caused by simple negligence, unless the participant’s claims for compensation relate to circumstances of death, bodily injury or damage to health.

These limitations of liability do not apply if the Organiser has fraudulently concealed the defect or has assumed a warranty for the quality of the item. The same applies if an agreement has been reached between the parties concerning the quality of the item. The provisions of applicable Spanish law remain unaffected. Furthermore, Grundfos accepts no liability whatsoever for any damage or strain caused to the participant’s PC/tablet/smartphone that may arise in connection with or as a result of participation in the competition. Grundfos reserves the right to modify or terminate the competition at any time and without prior notice, either temporarily or permanently.

Personal data provided in the context of participation will comply with the provisions of the GDPR (REGULATION (EU) 2016/679 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation). The data will only be stored, processed and used by Grundfos for the purpose of conducting and running the competition and, if separately agreed by the participant, for the purpose of advertising its own products or services. The data will not be passed on to third parties. The participant can revoke the declaration of consent at any time with future effect. Such revocation is to be addressed to: marketingmaterial@grundfos.com. Legal recourse is excluded. There is no enforceable claim to payment of the prize. Grundfos reserves the right to discontinue the competition without giving a reason.

Other

The Organiser reserves the right to exclude participants from the competition for good cause and to request the return of prizes, in particular if there is justified suspicion or proof of false information, manipulation, violation of these conditions of participation or other unauthorised acts.

The participants release the Organiser from any liability.

The law of Spain applies exclusively.

Should any of these conditions of participation be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining conditions of participation will remain unaffected.

These conditions of participation can be changed at any time by the Organiser without prior notice.

Legal recourse is excluded with regard to the drawing of the winners.
