Danish water solutions for global challenges displayed in Japan

More than 6,000 water professionals and experts from over 100 countries are making the Japanese capital city, Tokyo, the place to be to catch the latest trends and tendencies in the water business, and to get together with key decision-makers to concentrate on global water challenges and solutions to them.

A strong delegation representing Danish companies and Denmark is also present, including the General Manager of Grundfos Japan, Hideo Shirakawa, and the Danish Minister of Environment and Food, Jakob Ellemann-Jensen.

“Denmark has strong competencies within water technology, which other countries are interested in taking on board. This, we need to showcase internationally, and at this international water conference, there are rife opportunities for Danish and foreign companies, utilities and scientists to create partnerships,” said Jakob Ellemann-Jensen.

They are together at the International Water Association’s bi-annual IWA World Water Congress & Exhibition. Topics on top of the charts include water- and wastewater management, drinking water- and potable water reuse and urban water systems.

“For Grundfos, this is of course a good opportunity to showcase solutions and technologies, which can help solve water challenges in a global context,” said Morten Riis, Group Director, Global Market Segment Water Utility, who speaks at one of the business seminars.

The conference, which is considered the world’s leading water conference, runs from 16 to 21 September. The next time up, the world’s foremost water experts, politicians and professionals will be gathered in Copenhagen, Denmark.
