Grundfos appoints Ulrik Gernow new Chief Marketing Officer

The Grundfos Group appoints Ulrik Gernow Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) in a new position where he will lead the global activities to further strengthen strong customer and market focus. The new CMO will lead the global Grundfos segment organization, as well as strategic development and innovation, the global marketing, branding and corporate communication areas.

Besides appointing Ulrik Gernow new CMO the search for a Chief Technology Officer has been initiated in order to enable the new strategy and strengthen and accelerate our Technology Development even further. The purpose is to create Group Management areas and leadership roles that are focused on our strategic priorities within Marketing, Branding and Innovation and Technology Development.

Ulrik Gernow joins from the LEGO Group where he for the past almost 25 years has held several executive positions, lastly as Chief Business Transformation Officer. He will be joining on June 1 and will become a member of Grundfos Group Management and as such report directly to CEO Mads Nipper.

Ernst Lutz, Executive Vice President and Head of Business Development has decided to relocate back to Switzerland to honour his family commitments. He therefore elected to leave Grundfos by the end of May.

“Ernst has played an instrumental role supporting the transformation of Grundfos over the last years and he has been as a valued member of the Group Management team. I would like to thank him for his great contributions over the past years, his integrity, and his outstanding teamwork,” says Mads Nipper.

The new Grundfos Group Management team will from this summer consist of Lone Tvis (CHRO), Poul Due Jensen (CSO), Mikael Geday (CFO), Stéphane Simonetta (COO), Ulrik Gernow (CMO), Vacant (CTO) and Mads Nipper (CEO).
