At Grundfos, we believe that trust is earned through action—and in today’s digital world, that means securing our products against cyber threats. With the European Union’s Radio Equipment Directive Delegated Act (RED DA) coming into force on August 1, 2025, Grundfos has taken decisive steps to ensure our connected products meet the new security requirements.

- This achievement is not just a regulatory milestone—it’s a commitment to our customers, our partners, and the integrity of our brand, says Rasmus Vad Andersen, Head of Product CSI (Compliance, Sustainability, and IP).

The RED DA regulation is part of the EU’s broader effort to strengthen cybersecurity across all radio-enabled products. It mandates that manufacturers implement safeguards to protect users from data breaches, unauthorized access, and malicious interference. For Grundfos, this means ensuring that products that can connect to the internet are secure by design and compliant with RED DA requirements.

CRE is CE marked conforming to the new RED DA

Non-compliance after August 2025 would mean losing the legal right to sell affected products in the EU. But for us, RED DA is more than a legal obligation, we see cybersecurity as a cornerstone of product quality and customer trust.

For our customers, RED DA compliance means peace of mind. It means that Grundfos products are not only efficient and reliable—but also secure. Whether you’re installing a smart pump in a municipal water system or integrating a controller into an industrial process, you can trust that our products fulfill regulatory requirements.

Grundfos is already preparing for the next wave of cybersecurity regulations, including the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), which will apply from 11 December 2027. Our proactive approach to RED DA has positioned us well for future compliance, and we remain committed to continuous improvement in product security.

We thank our customers for their continued trust and partnership. Together, we’re building a safer, smarter, and more resilient future.
