Living our values benefits our neighbours

Just recently, Grundfos India organised a nationwide giving drive, where the various branches of the company reached out to their local communities with helping hands to the less fortunate. Employees donated money, school supplies and food, just to name a few, to orphans and the elderly.

This happened as part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, where local NGO’s were approached and asked to put words to some of their needs, which Grundfos employees could then help accommodate.

One of the recipients of the aid was the Mouksh Foundation, which runs a school for underprivileged children in Delhi. Here, the children can be taught free of charge, as well as receive a much needed meal.

“The students will come to the school if they will have meals during the school hours. We appreciate Grundfos’ contributions as it will help support our mid-day meals initiative,” said Mrs. Sunita Yadav, who runs the foundation.

In addition to the school in Delhi, local charity organisations, NGO’s, orphanages and homes for the elderly in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad and Mumbai were among the benefactors of Grundfos’ initiative.

“It is part of our DNA to act responsible according to the societies, which we operate in. This giving drive was a huge success, and it helped us strengthen our relationship with the local communities, as well as engaging our employees across our offices here in India,” said Mahathi Parashuram, Head - Public Affairs of Grundfos India.
