A robust global supply chain

Maintaining support and meeting demand in 2021 and beyond

As an international multi-plant operation, we have initiated a strong strategy to ensure customers’ needs are met promptly, wherever in the world they are located.

Keeping up with the times

In recent times, operational insights have helped companies build strong production setups involving international plants and teams. This approach has proven its effectiveness and will continue for the foreseeable future.

Having a multi-plant operation gives us a distinct advantage. With four facilities in Denmark, Serbia, France and China, our capabilities are both fluid and flexible as production can be moved from one location to another if necessary.

Ensuring orders are continually met

There has also been a trend among many companies to reduce their stock. However, at Grundfos, we’ve found a good balance to ensure healthy stocks of items essential to operations. Components are sourced from robust global suppliers that are able to assure stable delivery.

The idea is to create an increasingly lean and streamlined production set-up, because that’s how we can ensure high-quality products and on-time delivery rates. It also reinforces our supply chain and that will mitigate risk in critical situations.

A better way forward

Focus on heat pumps, digitalisation and sustainability continues to increase and will remain important to the market in years to come as it looks at ways to optimise efficiency and reduce CO2 emissions. Our strategy is to ensure innovation in these areas continues while securing supply. Additionally, significant investment of resources and manpower will be allocated to co-development and innovation projects.

Group efforts key to advancement

Joint innovation and development projects can be not only mutually beneficial, but bring new and better solutions to life faster. This is why we’re keen to hear from parties interested in co-innovation with us to meet future market demands.
