What better place to get a glimpse of the future and take stock of the past years than at the ISH 2025 where the industry came together to share insights, discuss trends, and explore innovations? We, at Grundfos HVAC OEM, had the privilege of meeting our customers and partners in person and engaging in meaningful conversations with not only them but also other visitors and industry colleagues.

For us, the key takeaways were about the shifts and innovations in heating technology, the importance of partnerships, the role of digitalisation in shaping the future of heating, and last but not the least – the need for more focus on sustainability. It was evident that the industry is now ready to move forward and put the challenges of the past few years behind it.

Hear from Anna Charlotte Meyer Poulsen, Group Vice President, HVAC OEM, and Jannek Uldal, Head of Product Development, HVAC OEM/DBS, as they reflect on their experiences at ISH 2025 and share key takeaways.

Strong partnerships are key to resilience

At ISH 2025, it was evident that long-term partnerships provide stability in uncertain times. The past few years have tested the HVAC industry with market fluctuations, supply chain disruptions, and shifting demands. However, by working together to navigate these challenges, the industry has emerged stronger.

Grundfos remains a trusted partner to the industry’s major players, supporting our customers through both challenges and growth. Connecting again at ISH gave us the opportunity to further strengthen these relationships, reflect on our shared journeys, and explore new possibilities for the future.

Being at the ISH reiterated our belief that partnerships are crucial to progress, as outlined by Anna Charlotte Meyer Poulsen in an earlier insight.

The transition to heat pumps is not without challenges

It was clear that the heating industry is moving from boilers to heat pumps. But scaling production while keeping costs down is a concern. At ISH 2025, discussions centered on standardisation and modularisation as key enablers for making heat pumps more efficient, scalable, and cost-effective.

With higher flow demands and the need for smarter system integration, solutions like our latest UPM10 circulator were met with strong interest at ISH, reinforcing the need for optimised performance and advanced digital features to support this transition.

Looking ahead towards innovation and sustainable solutions

At ISH 2025, our discussions were future-oriented, exploring the possibilities in HVAC. Conversations with customers and partners emphasised the importance of co-creation in developing next-generation heating solutions. The industry is ready to move forward with a focus on digitalisation and intelligent technologies, however, we still need more focus on sustainability at the ground level.

At Grundfos HVAC OEM, sustainability is a priority. And with our circularity initiatives like the Take Back program, we collaborate with partners to reduce waste and extend product life cycles through the reuse of components. But we do realise that there is more to be done on our sustainability journey.

ISH 2025 reinforced the progress we’ve made while shining the spotlight on the work still ahead. As we look back at our learnings from ISH 2025, we are committed to turning them into meaningful action. The conversations and insights from this event will help us build meaningful connections as we shape the next phase of HVAC innovation together with our partners and customers.
