FAQ

Question: What does the E9 error mean on my ALPHA GO pump, and how can I fix it?

Answer:

E9 error on ALPHA GO pumps (including ALPHA1 GO and ALPHA2 GO) indicates that an external signal has been detected but is not activated in the Grundfos GO app. When this happens, the yellow LED light will turn on, signaling a warning. The pump continues to operate, but the external control feature is not functioning as intended. This event is recorded in the ALPHA2 GO event log as Code 25 and can be seen in the Grundfos GO App.

Why does this happen?

  • The pump is connected to an external signal input, but the feature has not been enabled in the app.
  • Incorrect setup during commissioning.

How to fix it:

  1. Open the Grundfos GO app and connect to your pump.
  2. Go to Guided Setup and activate the external signal control. Note: If the pump is to be used as a replacement pump, replicate the configuration of the old pump via the GO Replace tool.
  3. Confirm that the external signal is properly configured and functioning.
