FAQ

Question: What impact do the density and viscosity of a medium have on pump output?

Answer:

Unless specified to the contrary, the curves in the Grundfos documentation are specified for the density and viscosity of water at a temperature of 20°C (specific gravity = 1 and viscosity = 1). Pump output may need to be adjusted if the density and viscosity of the pumped medium differ from the density and viscosity of water at a temperature of 20°C (specific gravity = 1 and viscosity = 1).

To run calculations for the pump, the medium in question can be configured and used in our sizing program.
