The world is still waiting for clean, reliable water

Today, 2.2 billion people live without safely managed drinking water*, a crisis that undermines health, education, and economic resilience. Moving water is our business, but enabling access to it is our purpose.

That’s why we’ve made water access a strategic business priority, backed by company-wide commitment and led by our CEO. Our ambition is bold: to reach 300 million people with safe drinking water by 2030.

Improving water access across continents

Transforming water access takes more than technology – it takes trust, collaboration and bold partnerships.

Guided by our ambition and aligned with SDG 6, we believe water challenges are too complex for any one actor to solve alone. As a purpose-driven water company that moves water across the globe, we have a responsibility to use our scale, expertise, and global footprint to catalyse change.

We work in close collaboration with our partners: governments, NGOs, water service providers, humanitarian organisations, local distributors, service partners, private investors, banks and financing institutions.

Together, we’re designing solutions that fit local contexts and deliver sustainable impact across East and West Africa, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and other regions.

How we make it happen

To reach more people with clean, reliable water and pave the way for a better future for all, we pair proven technology with new ways of partnering and investing.

  • Planning with communities – we start by listening, conducting needs assessments, evaluating water sources, and co-designing systems with local stakeholders.
  • Innovative, commercially viable solutions – from high-performance urban networks to small, solar-powered systems for off-grid communities, we deliver solar pumping, treatment, smart metering, dispensing and distribution that keeps water flowing.
  • Long-lasting impact – we invest in local capacity, training operators and enabling remote monitoring to ensure long-term performance and ownership.

Between 2020 and 2024, we’ve reached an estimated 51.2 million people with access to drinking water.
